The Congregational Meeting for the purpose of voting on the 2013 budget and election of 2013 council will be held on November 18th immediately following the 2nd service. Please consider that a quorum will be required for this meeting so everyone is encouraged to attend and participate. As added incentive, there will be a pot luck lunch in conjunction with the meeting!
Please sign up in the narthex for our 30 minute Listening Post sessions to be held on November 15 to 17. As part of understanding our congregation and as outlined in our November newsletter, please meet with Tom Kebba, an expert in helping congregations learn from the past to move forward. Your one on one confidential session will consist of a few questions to help stimulate thoughts about APLC.
The Congregational Council and the Mutual Ministry team are sponsoring a short questionnaire of our congregation. As we celebrate our upcoming twenty year anniversary as a con- gregation, the two teams thought it would be helpful to understand how the congregation can be better served and be a congregation full of sharing God’s grace.
Accessible via the front page of our website (www.doveandcross.org), your participation is critical and should take you roughly five minutes to complete (paper copies are available in the narthex). The questionnaire will be open through Monday, September 3. All confirmed members and visitors are welcome to participate – please respond only one time(!!!) Please let Hugh Bannard or Mark Glaspey know if you have any questions.
Thanks to all who participated in the congregational meeting following the worship service on June 24. We had a quorum, and the plan developed by the Staffing Task Force and recommended by the Council was approved.
There will be a Congregational Meeting immediately following our worship service to discuss and vote on the Task Force staffing recommendations.
