Assaggios’ and the National Youth Gathering

Please plan to dine in or take out from Assaggios’ Pizzeria & Ristorante on Thursday, Feb 9th!  Lunch and / or dinner!!!  All you have to do to help us with this fundraiser for the NYG in New Orleans this summer is to put your receipt into the box at the counter when you pay.  Tom and Amy McGrath of Assaggios’ have graciously volunteered to donate 15% of all the receipts in the box that day to our NYG fund.  A big thank you to them and also to you, our fellow church members, for helping with this!!  Please tell everyone you know to support us on Thursday, Feb 9th and put their receipt into the box!  Happy Eating!!!

Thank you!  Assaggios’ is located on Sunset Lake Rd in the Kroger Shopping Center.  Here is the link to their menu.  Order ahead, pick up on the way home but don’t forget to leave your receipt in the box.

Fuquay-Varina Food Pantry

The Sunday School and Faith, Fun, and Fellowship are partnering up for a project benefiting the Fuquay-Varina Food Pantry.  On the first Sunday of each month throughout the remainder of the year, the Sunday School
children will bring in and collect food to be donated to the Fuquay-Varina Food Pantry.  This Sunday, February 5th, please bring in canned juice.  We are excited to help provide food for those who are in need.

APPLE Seeds Open House/Spaghetti Dinner

A.P.P.L.E.Seeds Preschool will be hosting an Open House/Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Monday, February 6 at 6:00pm. Tickets will be $6.00 per adult, $4,00 per child (max $20.00 per family). Please come out and meet some of the A.P.P.L.E.Seed’s families and teachers and take a look around to see all of the fun that is going on here at the Preschool!! Faith, Fun and Fellowship Planning – February 6th

ATTENTION FUN PEOPLE!  Please join me on Monday February 6th to begin planning our Faith, Fun and Fellowship events for 2012.  We have all of the ideas and the dates so now we just have to start planning the fun. Strategic Visioning – February 8th

On Wednesday, February 8th, we will have a special presentation by the Strategic Visioning Team Re-Visited. This will be an important gathering to help stoke this important endeavor to discern our future together. The team will use this time to introduce many of you to the report generated several years ago, bring an update to where we are, and proceed to lay the groundwork for revisiting our vision for the future from this point forward. Southern Wake Faith Community in Action (SWFCA)

A gathering will take place here at Abiding Presence on Thursday, February 2 at 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The SWFCA Board of Directors, the Executive Director along with the Church Partner Liaison Volunteer, Rev. Willem Bodisco Massink will invite you into a further congregation regarding our hopes and dreams in partnering as churches for the good of this important outreach into the community. ELCA National Youth Gathering Sub Sale

The participants traveling to New Orleans in the summer are selling submarines to help defray their travel costs. Please order yours today! Order forms are available on the display table located outside the pastors’ office. The subs will be ready for pick-up on Superbowl Sunday, February 5th.
