Registration for Sunday School is currently taking place. In addition to
registering our children, we are still in need of a few more adults to
teach and/or assist. If you feel the calling to teach the word of our Lord

Via de Cristo

Via de Cristo (VDC) is a 3-day Spiritual renewal and an experience you will never forget. If you would like to strengthen your relationship with God and have a renewed sense of faith, you deserve to take the time to retreat! Upcoming weekends are September 11-14, as well as November 13-16…both at Camp Agape in Fuquay-Varina. APLC has more than 20 people who have attended a weekend, and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Flapjack Fundraiser for National Youth Gathering

Our youth group is sponsoring a pancake breakfast at Applebee’s on Main Street in Fuquay Varina on August 23 from 8:00am – 11:00am.  Tickets are just $7.00 each.  Grab your spouse, children and friends and come out to enjoy a great breakfast and help support our youth and their plans to join with others in Detroit in 2015.  NYG youth would be delighted to sell you tickets before & after services on Sunday. Recognition of Baptism

On Sunday, August 3rd we celebrate the Recognition of Baptism of Skye Gabrielle Watson, daughter to Turi and Linwood Watson.  Skye was baptized on July 13, at Conover, WI by Pastor Mark Krueger, retired pastor, and family friend.  Skye’s baptismal sponsors are Erin Plisch of Wisconsin and Scott & Christine Davis of Charlotte, NC.

Pastor Diane (our newest staff member) is leading a six week book study on “Making All Things New” by Henri Nouwen at from 6:00—7:30 on Wednesday evenings.  The book study began July 16th, but it’s not too late to join. Email Pastor Diane:  d2amidon@bellsouth.net for details.

Farm Worker Dinner – August 3rd

Abiding Presence will once again sponsor a farm worker dinner for approximately 110 seasonal farm workers at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church on Sunday evening, August 3. We will be supplying hamburgers, hot dogs, side dishes, and all of the fixings for the meal. Volunteers will be needed to supply the food, transport local workers to and from St. Bernadette’s, and set up, serve, and clean up after the meal.
