Please plan to dine in or take out from Assaggios’ Pizzeria & Ristorante on Thursday, Feb 9^th!  Lunch and / or dinner!!!  All you have to do to help us with this fundraiser for the NYG in New Orleans this summer is to put your receipt into the box at the counter when you pay.  Tom and Amy McGrath of Assaggios’ have graciously volunteered to donate 15% of all the receipts in the box that day to our NYG fund.  A big thank you to them and also to you, our fellow church members, for helping with this!!  Please tell everyone you know to support us on Thursday, Feb 9^th and put their receipt into the box!  Happy Eating!!!

The participants traveling to New Orleans in the summer are selling submarines to help defray their travel costs. Please order yours today! Order forms are available on the display table located outside the pastors’ office. The subs will be ready for pick-up on Superbowl Sunday, February 5th.

All 6th-12th grade youth are invited to join youth from all the Lutheran Churches in NC in Greensboro the weekend of February 24-26th, 2012 for the state Lutheran Youth Organization Assembly. It’s a great way to meet youth from around NC while we explore how God is at work in our lives through music, games, speakers and more. Cost of the event is $140 per person. NYG Rent A Teen is sponsoring a day Parents day out.  If you would like to spend some time shopping for Christmas, wrapping presents or just want a few quiet hours for yourself  the youth  who are going to the National Youth Gathering have just the deal for you!

On Saturday Dec 17, the NYG will be available from 10a – 4p at APLC to supervise, play and provide care for your children ages 2yrs and up. Games and activities will be provided and we ask that you bring any snacks, and/or lunches that your child may need.  Let us know if you plan to drop off your children (so we can make sure we have enough babysitters) and for more information please contact Beth Hartzell at bethhartzell@aol.com or 919/557-0778.  A free will donation will be accepted.

Come one, come all to the Youth Groups Christmas party Friday December 16th from 6:00 – 7:00pm. There will be games, crafts, fellowship and all kinds of fun! All children and youth from Mustard Seeds through High School are invited. Bring $3 for pizza and a can of food for the food pantry.

Calling all youth… practice for the upcoming Children’s Christmas Program begins Wednesday November 30th! Practices will be 6:00 to 6:50 on the Wednesdays of Advent. Our Children’s Christmas Program will be 6:00 on Wednesday, December 21st and all of APLC is invited to attend!
