Advent Wednesdays – Soup, Supper and Worship

For many of us, the season of Advent, the four weeks leading up to Christmas, is a time of profound business with little time to prepare our hearts for the coming of the Lord.  Although it may seem counter-intuitive to add yet another thing to our busy schedules this time of year, making time to pause, to enjoy a simple meal with friends, and to end an evening in the middle of our busy work week in worship and prayer may be just what is needed to help prepare ourselves to see Jesus at work in the world and in our lives.

On Wednesday, December 4, 11, and 18, we will gather in the fellowship hall at 6:15 pm for a simple supper of soup, salad, and bread. Please see your E-News to use our signup genius to let us know you will bring soup, salad, or bread.  Let us share in the work of feeding one another in body, mind, and spirit this Advent Season.

At 7 pm we will move to the sanctuary for worship using the Holden Evening Prayer service with a short meditation.
