Ash Wednesday – March 5 – 12 noon and 7pm

On Ash Wednesday we begin our forty-day journey toward Easter with a day of fasting and repentance. Marking our foreheads with dust, we acknowledge that we die and return to the earth, but we also marked our foreheads with the same sign with which it was marked at baptism – the cross. Ash Wednesday is a reminder that intentionally returning to our baptismal call, we more intentionally bear the fruits of mercy and justice in the world.

On Wednesday, March 5, we will have two opportunities to gather for Ash Wednesday worship and the imposition of ashes:  12 noon and 7pm.
