This year, as one of God’s Work, Our Hands, we’re rallying together to assemble 50 personal care kits to support those at Healing Transitions. Healing Transitions plays a vital role in the Raleigh community, offering emergency shelter and non-medical detox services—completely free of charge—to our neighbors in need. These kits provide much-needed essentials to help meet everyday hygiene needs and boost confidence.
We’re requesting donations of the following items: (Amazon Wish List HERE)
- Sports bottles
- Toothbrushes & toothpaste (travel tooth brushes preferred)
- Deodorant
- Washcloths
- Body wash or bars of soap
- Shampoo (full size)
- Hair brushes and combs
- Socks
- Journals
If you’d like to donate, drop off items in the box outside the church office.
Other GWOH Activities include
- Card creation (Send to Lutheran retirement home) For youngest member create cards which will be sent to ailing and homebound members
- Adopt-A-Highway clean up (weather permitting)
- Habitat for Humanity baffles (Paint baffles for H4H houses. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on.)
