Columbarium & Memorial Garden

A stone pedestal with a bouquet of flowers at its base in front of a white monument with a brick base and a gable roof, set outdoors surrounded by trees.
A circular garden with a brick labyrinth maze, surrounded by mulch and small green plants, with trees in the background.

Abiding Presence has created a Columbarium Memorial Garden to offer a place to memorialize members of the community and church, and for the interment of cremated remains.

Labyrinth

In addition to being a place for remembrance, it’s also a place for reflection and meditation. Come and sit in a garden-like setting to enjoy the quiet and calm. There is also a labyrinth for meditation (instructions are provided in the garden).

What is a Columbarium?

The word “columbarium” is derived from “Columba,” the Latin term for dovecote, a compartmented house where doves, the symbol of God’s Spirit and Peace, come to roost.  In modern terms, a Columbarium is an above-ground structure designed for the interment of cremated remains in a niche.
