God’s Work Our Hands
Worship on September 13th will kick off the new school year with a celebration of creation, education, and, in particular, our AppleSeeds Preschool ministry. We will celebrate all teachers and students of all ages with a blessing of the backpacks.
After worship, we will gather for a potluck lunch. Please bring a dish to share. We will bless our new classroom walls in the fellowship hall, and then we will get to work, serving our community with projects suitable for all ages and physical abilities, including:
Cleaning up our section of Sunset Lake Rd with "Adopt-a-highway"
Assembling water filters provided by Thrivent (particularly suitable for adults)
Assembling blessing bags for unhoused individuals (see the list of needed items below)
Build/stain planters for Appleseeds.
Stain mud-table, bench, and picnic tables for Appleseeds.
Creating cards for blessing bags (particularly suitable for kids and adults with limited mobility)
Painting blessing banners for our new fellowship hall classrooms (particularly suitable for little kids)
Please set aside a little time on this special day to share in food, fellowship, and service to our neighbors.
