Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is starting another new housing project in its newest neighborhood, Hope Grover, in Garner. We are now building with all faith communities, so you will be working alongside people from different churches and religions. We have many opportunities to show our generosity and engagement outside of our church walls.

  • Our first opportunity is 17 October, and we will be building walls for upcoming home builds in the Hope Grove neighborhood. We will need 10 volunteers for this date

  • Our second opportunity is 12 December, and we will be working on homes in the Hope Grove neighborhood and will need another 10 volunteers.

The only requirement is that you must be at least 16 years old for insurance and safety reasons.

Habitat has also changed the lunches; we will not need lunches provided, as we are now on our own for lunch.

Also, if building isn’t your thing, Habitat has volunteer opportunities in it’d Restores. Donating to a restore is also helpful. Lastly are you looking for some stuff, check out our local restore in Fuquay, they have many treasures.

Lastly, Habitat Greater Raleigh Advocacy Ambassador program puts you in the forefront to advocate for more affordable housing in the area. Habitat provides all the training for this program.
