May 28-30 NC Synod Gathering 2026
THE INVITATION
Synod Gathering 2026 is more than a meeting. It is an invitation. An invitation to come & see what God is doing among us—and to be sent out ready to go & tell.
For three days at the end of May, rostered ministers, lay people, pastors, ministry partners, and first-time attendees will gather on the beautiful campus of Lenoir-Rhyne University to worship boldly, learn deeply, celebrate courageously, and imagine faithfully.
So, come & see:
Creative Spirit-filled worship
Workshops designed to spark imagination and practical ministry tools
Strategic mission updates that show how God is moving across our congregations
A Synod Block Party at Shaw Plaza —with dinner, laughter, and community with our agencies and institutions
Morning Prayer shaped by partners visiting from our companion synod in Papua New Guinea
Spiritual practices centered on story and discernment
A large group session with Bishop Emily Hartner
Go & tell!
Because your voice matters. Because your congregation matters. Because the church is changing—and you are part of what’s next. Whether you serve in youth ministry, preach weekly, lead from the pew, or are discerning your call—this gathering will reconnect you to your purpose and to one another. Come for the worship. Come for the learning. Come for the relationships. Leave ready to tell the story.
