Overall Theme: Without a solid foundation a house will fall. What about the foundation of our lives? What is the basis, or foundation, upon which we build our thoughts, words and deeds? What is the basis upon which we approach life and work? What is the basis upon which all of our relationships need to be built in order to stand firm and strong when under stress or attack? What is the basis upon which the church must be built if it hopes to endure and sustain life? According to both testaments of scripture, that basis is love. This is more than a sappy and emotional love that comes and goes. This is agape love that is modeled upon the love of God in Jesus Christ. Over the next couple of months, we will explore this foundation and seek to ensure that God’s love is the basis of our lives and the life of the church.
